hello, im patrick edell. i’m an artist/illustrator/tattooer from new york, currently based in brooklyn.
my background and education are in illustration, and i’ve worked as a freelance illustrator since 2017. i specialize in editorial and commercial work, but have experience working in animation and game design as well. i enjoy creating work for print, and have extensive experience working in risograph and silkscreen print production. my partial client list includes:

in 2021, i began working as a tattoo artist and opened a private studio in brooklyn, ny, called shapeworld. tattooing quickly became a huge part of my artistic practice and output, and a catalyst for change within my own process. if you’re interested in my tattoo work, perusing my flash, or booking an appointment, please check out the tattoos section of my site.
after grinding in the tattoo and illustration industries for a couple of years after college, i began pursuing a personal art practice with a focus on painting and ceramics. after creating my first painting series post-college, i secured my first solo exhibition in nyc in november 2023. i’m always making new stuff and looking for opportunities to display my work.
